    Dry cleaning machine/dry cleaning and washing cylinder is used for measuring physical indexes such as appearance color, dimension change and peel strength of hot-melt bonded interfacing cloth and various textiles after dry cleaning with organic solvent and alkaline solution.

    Other applicable:

    It can also be used to test the color fastness of fabric dry cleaning and chlorine water washing.

    Composition:

    The instrument consists of a 7650 ml stainless steel test box, a bracket, and a multi-speed driver with a digital timer.

    1. Working principle and introduction

    A) this instrument is used to test the color fastness of fabrics during dry cleaning and washing with chlorine water, and prepare samples for flammability test;

    B) the instrument is simple in structure and mainly consists of the main engine and washing cylinder.

    C) the main engine is composed of fuselage, motor, motor drive part, time controller, etc.

    D) adjustable time and speed;

    E) Jog function can be used to adjust the cylinder head upward.

    F) STM292 dry cleaning and washing cylinders are applicable to the following standards (or methods) :

    AATCC 162 16 CFR Part 1610.6

    G) method of dry cleaning for fabrics (refer to AATCC 162_2008)(see appendix I)

    H) instrument testing standards/methods (see appendix ii)

    Appendix I: dry cleaning method for fabrics (refer to AATCC 162_2002)

    1, the dry cleaning method here refers to a certain environment (such as a certain temperature, time, pH value and hardness) will be yarn or fabric

    Dip into a dilute solution of chlorine and shake at a certain rate.

    2. After dry cleaning, wring out the fabric and then blot it with filter paper, and then conduct color fastness evaluation.

    3. Preparation of reagents:

    Add 5ppm chlorine and 100ppm salt to 5000mL distilled or deionized water, and add sodium carbonate and acetic acid to form a pH of 7.0

    A solution of reagents. Solution temperature 21℃.

    4. Test samples:

    The sample size is about 6x6cm. Total weight 5.0g±0.25g, including control cloth. If the total weight of a single sample is less than 5g, it can be used

    Multilayer. Samples of different colors can be mixed together to form a total load of 5.0g.

    5. Test steps:

    5.1 clean cylinder: add about 5000mL of deionized water and 0.5mL of sodium hypochlorite (5.25%) into the cylinder, cover the cylinder head and run about

    10 minutes, then pour out the solution. Cleaning of the cylinder block is only necessary after other tests or if it has not been used for more than two weeks.

    5.2 configuration of hardness concentrated reagent

    - 8.24g anhydrous calcium chloride (CaCl2) and 5.07g magnesium chloride hexahydrate;

    - add 800mL of deionized or distilled water to 1L graduated measuring cup, add the above-mentioned calcium chloride and magnesium chloride, stir while adding, and then make up 1L of water. This is a "hard concentrated reagent" that can be retained for up to 30 days.

    5.4 dilute 51mL "hardness concentration reagent" to 5100mL with deionized or distilled water, and then add 0.5ml sodium hypochlorite. Determine the actual PPM value of Cl and adjust it to 5ppm by titration.

    5.5 a reagent solution with a pH of 7.0 is prepared by adding sodium carbonate (Na2CO3) and acetic acid (CH3COOH).

    5.6 add 5000mL of the solution configured in 5.4 above to the cylinder and adjust the solution temperature to 21℃.

    5.7 put the test sample and control cloth into the cylinder and run for 60 minutes.

    5.8 take out the sample and control cloth and extrude the solution with the rolling mill. Rinse thoroughly with deionized or distilled water. Then wring it out and letting it dry at room temperature on bleached or absorbent paper towels.

    5.9 so far, the whole dry cleaning process is over.

    Note: if the sample is prepared for combustion testing, water may be required prior to testing, as in 16 CFR Part 1610.

    16 CFR Part 1610-2008 test samples for dry cleaning combustion test, samples must be dry-cleaned before washing 50x150mm commercial grade perchloroethylene, cationic detergent cleaning time: 10-15min

    Drying time: 3min

    Drying temperature: 60-66℃

    Drying time: 18-20min

    Cooling and deodorizing time: 5min
