The tip of the injection needle should be sharp and the maximum value specified in Table 4.

principle

The puncture force of the injection needle was assessed with a specified speed using the injection needle, passing vertically through the maximum peak force measured when simulating the skin.

Pierce the force test procedure

The needle and simulated skin were placed at 22℃± 2℃ for at least 24h and tested at the same temperature;

Clip the appropriately sized analog skin to the fixture without any obvious tensile or compressive force applied to the simulated skin.

The examined needle was mounted on the device with an axis perpendicular to the surface of the simulated skin and the tip pointing to the center of the circular puncture area.

Set the movement speed to 100mm / min.

Start the test device.

The maximum sharp value or recorded force / displacement map was simultaneously measured during on-membrane puncture.

Compliance evaluation

When the maximum peak in the obtained force / displacement map is compared with the required specified value, when the maximum peak is less than or equal to the specified value, it is determined that the puncture force of the inspected needle meets the requirements.
