Introduction of leather flexural tester

Leather flexure is used to determine the wetness or dryness of leather and leather surface coatings. Suitable for all kinds of leather with thickness below 3.0 mm.

Fold the specimen in half with the surface to be tested, clamp it inwardly in the upper moving fixture and externally in the lower fixing fixture with the surface to be tested. The movement of the upper clamp causes the folds on the specimen to move along it. The specimen is regularly checked for damage.

The installation

Open the instrument

When you receive your drip tester, please check the carton for possible damage during transportation. Open the instrument carefully and thoroughly check the parts for damage or shortage. Report equipment damage and/or shortages to standard customer service.

Set up the

After removing the fastener circulation tester, place the instrument in a stable and flat room with temperature and humidity.

Insert the power cord into the left side of the instrument. Make sure the plug is securely inserted into the instrument.

When the power switch is off, plug the power cord into the appropriate power socket. Proper grounding should be ensured.

Open the upper and lower clamps so that the gap is at least twice the thickness of the specimen.

Turn the motor until the large EF on the upper clamp is parallel to the upper edge of the fixed lower clamp.

Fold the sample in half, folding the surface to be measured inward so that the two longer edges are joined together. The folded specimen is clamped to the edge with the folding edge, and the retaining block formed by the clamping screw is clamped to one end.

Draw the free angles of the specimen outward and downward around the clamp. Holding the inner surface together, clamp the free end of the lower clamp with the clamp, clamp a part of the folded sample in the clamp, and make it vertical. The force used shall not exceed the force required to tighten the leather.

The number of flex cycles required to run the machine is selected from the following list:

Dry flex: 500; 1000; 5000; 10000; 20000; 25000; 50000; 100000; 150000; 200000; 250,000 year cycle;

Wet the flex: 500; 1000; 2500; 10000; 20000; 25000; 50000 cycles.

In addition to the above checkpoints, wet specimens are removed from the machine every 25,000 cycles to check whether they have spue, and then re-wetted and replaced to the machine.

Stop the testing machine and remove the specimen. Fold along the vertical axis and use a magnifying glass to see with the naked eye in good light. Record any damage to the bending area, ignoring any damage to the clamping area. If necessary, cut off curved areas to help identify loose leather structures.

If necessary, replace the specimen in the fixture with the mark produced by the fixture as a guide to ensure that the specimen returns to the original position in the fixture.
