Introduction of spray type water repellent tester
A quantitative spray tester is used to determine the surface wettability of fabrics. It includes a metal frame that allows distilled water to be sprayed through the nozzle into the sample at 45° and 150 mm below the nozzle. Compare the appearance of the specimen with the optional photographic scale.
The tester conforms to ISO 4920, AATCC 22 and M&S P23 standards.

3. The installation
3.1 set up
After turning on the spray rating tester, place the instrument on a smooth surface in a room with stable temperature and humidity.

5.1 calibration device, 250 ml distilled water 27±1℃(80±2) funnel test and measurement time required empty funnel.
5.2 the sample is firmly fixed in the ring with a diameter of 152.4mm (6.0 in) to expose the surface of the fabric sample to water mist. The surface of the sample shall be smooth and free of folds.
5.3 place the hula hoop on the test table above the fabric zui, and make the center of the spray pattern coincide with the center of the hula hoop.
5.3.1 if it is a yarn, gabardine, lamp-wick or similar fabric, place the hoop on the shelf so that the direction of the fabric is the same as that of the zui final product.
5.4 pour 250 ml of distilled water 27±1℃(80±2) into the tester's funnel, allowing it to be sprayed into the samples from the 25’s to 30’s.
5.4.1 avoid contacting funnel with graduated cylinder when pouring distilled water. The movement of the funnel will change the spray distribution on the sample.
5.5 hoop, bottom edge, use the opposite edge to firmly oppose a solid object with the fabric facing the object, then rotate the 180° hoop again before holding the point.
5.6 repeat 5.2 to 5.5 for all three samples.
Evaluation of 5.
6.1 immediately after clicking, compare the water or spot patterns with the rating scale. The surface of the sample is rated, which corresponds to the level near zui in the rating chart.
6.2 intermediate ratings are available for ratings 50 or higher (95, 85, 75, 60). (see figure 1 and table 1)
6.3 when grading loose or porous fabrics (such as voile), no channel through which water passes through the fabric openings shall be considered.
