Chrysler leather bending tester was designed for Chrysler laboratory test method lp-463lb-9-01. The instrument can be used to test the adhesion of coating materials on vinyl coated fabrics and leather substrates. It can also characterize the surface damage, bleaching, cracking and layering of vinyl-coated fabrics, leather, unsupported vinyls and other interior materials.

Chrysler bending tester can test 4 samples at the same time in one test, that is, there are 3 bending test stations and 1 folding test station. When the instrument is working, the bending specimen is clamped by a clamp at both ends and is tightened. One end remains fixed and the other end moves horizontally. Bending test can be carried out. The two ends of the folded sample are clamped between two opposite plates. When the two plates contact and clamp, a load of 12lb can be applied to the folding region of the sample. The folding test can be performed by closing the plate and applying the fixed pressure to the sample.

A certain tension is applied to the bending specimen by weight, and the tension is controllable.

First, meet the standards

This instrument conforms to the standards of Chrysler lp-463lb-9-01, Chrysler lp-463kb-113-01, Chrysler lp-463kb-10-01, Commercial Standard cs-273-65.

Ii. Instrument description

1. Main structural features

L the instrument is desktop;

L control panel: power supply, start and stop switch, electronic counter, see figure 2;

Power plant: motor;

L movement device: reduction gear, connecting rod, moving beam;

L counting device: electronic counter -- setting and displaying working times, with self-stop function;

Bending test device: upper/lower fixture, tension weight, guide bar, travel switch;

L folding test device: left/right pressure plate, spring, fixture;

L each sample can be clamped with an independent sample holder and each provides tension.

1. Instrument installation

Chrysler bending tester is designed to control the testing laboratory. The tester can be quickly installed on the test bench for use. Installation method is as follows:

(1) take out the equipment and be careful not to damage the exposed switch keys or control panel.

Note: the instrument is equipped with three test weights. Remove them during installation and place them aside.

(2) place the device on a completely stable and level test bench. Make sure the surface around the instrument is clean so that the test is done safely and accurately. Ensure that the test bench does not move or shake during instrument operation.

(3) to achieve zuijia testing results, it is necessary to provide a fully free environment and space.

(4) insert the power cord into the power supply, and refer to the appropriate working voltage and frequency on the instrument nameplate.

(5) the instrument is ready to start work.

2. Test preparation

(1) check that the instrument is in a horizontal state.

(2) turn on the power switch.

(3) use the start and stop buttons to nudge the instrument horizontally to align the upper/lower clamps of the bending test (on the same vertical line).

(4) prepare samples according to the specifications of the technical parameters in the manual.

(5) first clamp the upper end of the bending sample with the upper clamp in the bending test, and then slide the lower clamp up along the guide rod to the mark of 152mm of the guide rod, and clamp the lower end of the bending sample at this position. In order to install the sample correctly, the fixture should be ensured to clamp the sample in the same position on both sides of the sample. Ensure that the sample is aligned with the fixture, so that the tension is evenly distributed over the sample.

(6) install the tension weight, push the weight along its opening position into the weight column under the fixture under bending test, push it to the bottom, and lock the weight by rotating the screw at the bottom. At this point, 8lb.(36N) loads are applied to the sample by the weight and lower fixture assembly.

Note: make sure that the fixture clamps the sample and the weight is securely locked, so as to avoid loosing the sample or weight during the test, resulting in damage to the instrument or injury to the operator.

(7) install two bending samples and weights to the remaining two fixtures in sequence according to steps (5)-(6).

(8) load the folded sample between the pressure plates at the end of the movable pillar, and make the sample base cloth outwardly with the coating layer opposite. General clamps and locking screws securely clamp samples to ensure that they cannot be moved.

(9) adjust the pressure of the pressure plate so that when the instrument moves the crossbar to push the pressure plate to close to the limit position, the pressure on the sample is 641N(12lb).

(10) reset the counter to zero and set the required number of times to work. The instrument is set to 5000 times.

3. Operation method

(1) press the start button on the front control panel, and the instrument will start to work. Bending and folding specimens are tested simultaneously. The instrument will stop running automatically after working to the set number of times.

(2) take bent and folded samples, check their fracture and loss, observe the degree of fracture in appearance, and whether there is bleaching, cracking, stratification and other phenomena.

Three, maintenance

1. The electrical

Ensure correct instrument supply voltage is provided. Refer to instrument nameplate.

2. Lubrication

(1) use 80W gear oil to lubricate the gear box regularly.

(2) lubricate the reciprocating arm bearing with no.30 oil regularly.
