Taber abrasion tester operating procedures
Pretest preparation
Before the test, connect the instrument to the power supply, and connect the exhaust port to the vacuum cleaner
Accessories and other instruments: standard grinding wheel, double sided adhesive tape (hard), fine sandpaper (for verification). According to different standards, 0.1mg precision balance, fabric strength machine and appearance evaluation light box should be prepared to evaluate the test results.
Sample: cutting is about 110mm, with hole in the middle 8mm. If it is necessary to compare the changes of the weight before and after the sample, the original weight of the sample should be weighed in advance (if the sample is a fabric requiring double-sided adhesive tape to be fixed, the outer sticker should be removed after sticking the standard double-sided adhesive tape, and the total weight should be weighed). If it is necessary to compare the strength changes before and after the sample, the original strength should be tested before the test. Comparing other properties, such as fog degree, the original parameters should be determined before the test. The sample shall be premoistened for at least 8h.
Speed adjustment: start the instrument with arms raised after electrification, and adjust the speed adjustment knob to the required speed according to the display of the digital display table.
Test steps
The clamping sample
Place the cut samples on the test bench according to the standard requirements.
Keep the sample flat, tighten the compression nut and gasket, and tighten the sample fixing ring with hexagon wrench.
Clamping grinding wheel and weight
Install the pre-ground standard grinding wheel on the inner front of the balance arm and tighten the nut.
Clamp the corresponding weight weight or counterweight according to the required pressure.
According to the specifications of the grinding wheels tested for different materials in the corresponding standards, the grinding wheels of the corresponding specifications shall be installed.
Start the
Turn on the power switch.
Set the preset winding number on the counter.
Press the start button and the motor drives the rotary plate to start rotating.
Note:
1. When the grinding wheel grinds to the sticker or the surface of the grinding wheel is abnormal, it shall be replaced.
2. Before each sample is tested, the grinding wheel shall be cleaned with a brush.
Sample result evaluation
After reaching the predetermined number of laps, the instrument will automatically stop or according to different standard requirements, determine to reach the end of the test is to press the red stop button to stop the test, turn off the vacuum cleaner. Samples were taken out for evaluation.

Mass loss method
Samples before and after the test (together with double-sided adhesive to hold the sample) were weighed using a balance accurate to 0.1mg to calculate the percentage of weight loss.
Force loss method
Strength test was carried out on samples before and after the test with a strength tester, and the percentage of strength loss was calculated.
Predetermined lap number appearance change
Appearance evaluation (usually wear through, light transmittance change, etc.) is performed after the predetermined laps
