The rainproof tester can test the water-repellent performance of fabric or composite material under different rain pressure.

This instrument can simulate the spraying of rain from the horizontal direction to the fabric to be tested which is fixed vertically in the stainless steel groove. The sample is attached to the back of the standard filter paper (weigh before and after test). The water in the water column is sprayed through the standard nozzle to form rain, and the water column can be adjusted from 600mm(24 inches) to 2400mm(96 inches) in increments of 300mm(12 inches).

Not refitted, can be ordered with the new rain tester. We can provide temperature-controlled water supply systems, which include electronic temperature controllers, mixing gutters and solenoid control valves.

Detection principle:

It simulates that the rain water is sprayed from the horizontal direction to the fabric to be tested which is fixed vertically in the stainless steel tank. The sample is attached to the back of the standard filter paper (weigh before testing). The water in the column is sprayed to form rain by the standard nozzle, which can be adjusted from 600mm(24 inches) to 2400mm(96 inches) in increments of 300mm(12 inches). Spray water for 5 minutes under control conditions, and then determine the amount of sample penetration during the test by re-weighing the absorbent paper.

Operation instructions and instructions:

3. Equipment and materials

3.1.AATCC rain shower tester

4. Sample

4.1. Take at least three samples, each 20X20cm. The sample and absorbent paper were placed in the standard atmosphere before the test to lower the humidity for at least 4 hours.

Process of 5.

5.1. Put a standard absorbent paper of 15.2cmx15.2cm at the back of the sample, and weigh the standard absorbent paper to 0.1g. On the vertical rigid surface, clip the sample onto the sample holder. The sample is placed in the middle of the spray, 30.5cm away from the nozzle. Spray 27±1℃ water directly on the sample horizontally for 5 minutes. When the spray is over, carefully remove the blotting paper and weigh it quickly, accurate to 0.1g.

6. The rating

6.1. Calculate the weight increase of absorbent paper within 5 minutes of spraying time and take the average of the three results.

7.1. Report averages. If greater than 5.0g, +5.0g or >5.0g were reported.
